Kirby’s Dream Buffet is a semi-surprise release, coming at you now. Nintendo announced that Kirby’s Dream Buffet will launch on the Nintendo eShop menu on August 17. It reminds me a lot of the Kirby Super Star mini-game The Gourmet Race which sees Kirby and King Dedede racing to eat the most food.
Instead of his usual copy abilities, Kirby now seems to have the power to turn into various desserts like a cupcake and a bar of chocolate. From here, Kirby and three of his clones race across several delicious dessert tables in a Fall Guys style obstacle course to see who can eat the tastiest treats. Kirby’s Dream Buffer sees Kirby transformed into a ball, similar to the DS spin-off game Kirby Canvas Curse. “Hungry for some 4-player Kirby fun? Race through delicious obstacle courses, collect the most strawberries, and thwart your competition using familiar abilities.”
